No one wakes up and thinks a in a few years your future self would be up to a pack of cigarettes a day (that’s 25!), eat junk food everyday and get even worse sleep. That’s pretty much what happened to me.
Let me tell you about where I started.
Just like anyone else, I fell into the trap of smoking too much and too often so I felt like absolute crap. Feeling like crap doesn’t make you want to do things outside, so you stay inside. You’re bored so you eat. You eat and you eat and you eat.
I kept going up in belt loops, went from a medium to a large and spent more money on booze than I would like to admit. It just slowly happens over a long period of time. No one hopes the worst version of their future selves.
After a few years, I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I’ve asked myself for the longest time “maybe one day I’ll start working out” and “maybe one day I’ll start eating better”.
Well I asked myself:
“What the hell am I waiting for?”
So, I just did it. I made that “one day” that day.
I started out with jogging. The same day I stopped smoking cigarettes. In June. With 25C (77 Fahrenheit!) weather. I think I almost died that day but I just kept running almost every day.
But I wanted more. I wanted actual muscle. Getting thin is one thing, but getting jacked as well? That’s what I want.
So I started going to the gym with my best friend. He is the pillar of support that got me into working out and bodybuilding. Without him I don’t think I’d be where I am today.
Started eating better (and more!), cooking every meal and the Gains God blessed me with muscles. I kept on going on and started getting larger, and I started to love going to the gym. The changes that I saw made me really push myself.
After a while I sort of stalled. I was going to the gym 3-5 times a week, cooking all my meals still, getting at least 8 hours of sleep, and still wasn’t making progress.
It made me realise I was getting nowhere. I was just spinning my wheels.
Day in day out, it was the same. I didn’t receive the abs I always wanted, my biceps didn’t magically pop out and my calves refused grow.
You’re probably asking yourself..
“Why the hell are you telling me this?”
I’m here today to help you avoid the same mistakes I made.
I’m not special. I’m just a normal fat dude turned fit.
If I can do it, YOU can do it
There’s better, more efficient ways of achieving your goals, especially in bodybuilding. Stop wasting your time doing shit that doesn’t work.
The amount of exercise science and nutrition that I’ve learned in my experience has helped me change my body to where I want and allow me to help others achieve their goals.
That’s why Grow That Muscle exists today. I’m here to show you about the most effective ways to grow your body, nourish yourself the best possible way and motivate you to get your ass to the gym.
